Arrrrr! Dress like a Pirate Day @ Newport Hooters

Arrrr me hearties! I fine day for bootay! (If you know what I mean.) Definitely one of Hooters better dress up days to be sure. Jeffy, Willie and myself needed a nice diversion on a long work morning. Nothing better than venturing across the mighty Ohio and land ashore to a bevy a buccaneer beauties!

Tried the chili today. Not bad at all. We had various types of chicken wings to alls delight! But the finest part of our lunch was definitely the Sam Adams Octoberfest seasonal brew! Very tasty! It was a wonderful way to pass the lunch "hour".

Weekend Special Post! Rock Bottom Brewery/Reds Game Edition!

Been meaning to hit the Rock Bottom for lunch for some time now. It so just happens I did on a Saturday before a late afternoon Reds Game. Also special this time I brought my family with me!
Red Ale Yum!
Obviously the drawing card at the Rock Bottom is the beer. I choose a fine one to start my day, the Red Ale. I very good choice. For an appetizer, I recommended to the girls the large soft pretzels. Enjoyed by all. I ordered the Hickory Bacon BBQ burger with chips. Very tasty!
Everyone enjoyed their lunches. I highly recommend the Rock Bottom before a Reds game.
Oh by the way The Reds beat the Cardinals 8-2 on Barry Larkin's number retirement day.

Meg gives the Rock Bottom the double thumbs up!

Everything is better with Bacon!
The Girls enjoyed the
afternoon

A great day for a ballgame.

One Year Anniversary Special Cutter Savage/Guitar Center Edition!

Shred Here!

You heard right! This weekend marks the one year anniversary of this blog! Where does the time go. I do not know. We headed down to Florence Y'all again. Back to my "home" Hooters for a quick bite. Tanya was once again our server. (As you know from last weeks post.) Lunch was delightful, but the main course was across the street. A time for shredding! Cutter Savage style with his special brand of Tasty Riffs!

"What's wrong with this Amp? It's set to INSANE!!!!"

Well as you see Cutter was the feature of this particular post. And why not? My man can play! "From an early age he was know as a picker."

Well since this post does "celebrate" the one year mark of this blog, I thought I would include some of pics of some of favorite Hooters (Florence) girls we've met along the way. The first official post was from Florence Hooters as you know.

Harley Davidson/Wireless Access Edition from Florence Hooters

Working from Hooters!
One of the things some of these lunch establishments boasts is wireless Internet access. I wanted to see for myself the wireless internet access at my "home" Hooters @ Florence Y'all. At first our waitress Tanya didn't know the password. But once I fired up my Dell Latitude, I was pleasantly surprised to see their access point was "wide open". No need for a password. I guess that's good and bad. Maybe they aren't worried about online hackers with their attempts of shenanigans. Anyway once online I was able to connect to our VPN and log into my desktop and continue my "process". This gives new meaning to our abbreviation "WFH"! (Figure it out.)
Born to Ride....Ride to Live!
Another item we (well Glenn) wanted to do is ride his 2002 Harley Davidson Soft Tail Deuce down to Florence. He's not a big fan of riding on I-75 (I can see why.) But he did it anyway. His efforts are commendable. Well done sir! The reason he rode his Hog down there was transparent. He wanted the lovelies to pose with him and his Bike.
Yum!

As for the actual lunch. (This is a lunch blog by the way.) The Hooter's traditional lunch specials were in order. Glenn had the chicken strips. I had the buffalo shrimp. I also cashed an official Hooter's calender coupon for a free order of cheese sticks. (With an order of ten dollars or
more. Dine in only.) A five dollar value. All in all and very nice lunch was had. Thanks again to Florence's finest to once again humor some old men.

Thanks Ladies!
Even on Interstate 75...A nice day to ride.

Ohio River Barge Traffic Edition!

A Beautiful day in Greater Cincinnati.
I've been hearing a lot about the Mississippi River being so low because of the drought of 2012, that it's been restricting river barge traffic on it. Of course I don't live along the Mississippi river, but I do live very close to the Mighty Ohio River! I wanted to see if the drought had any effect on the Ohio. What a better place to observe the river barge traffic than from Hooter's of Newport Kentucky. It was a splendid day for lunch outside. Last night a cold front passes through, cooling things off just enough to enjoy a wonderful lunch outside on the deck at Newport Hooter's. I have to tell you, I didn't see any barges going up or down the river. Could it be a coincidence? Or could it be I really didn't care about the river traffic and just needed an excuse to enjoy my lunch outside?
Not a Barge in sight!

The lunch specials are always reasonably priced at Hooter's. Of course they are nothing fancy, which is fine. I had the buffalo shrimp with fries. Glenn and Willie had some chicken. Our server Megan was most pleasent. Which is not to say that any servers there are not. She was most concerned about the foam on the pitchers of Sam Adams. It was commendable. We wish her well in her academic pursuits of nursing. A fine profession.

Megan took care of the foam!

I have a confession to make. It was such nice day, we didn't didn't want to come back to work!

Special Deluxe Double Happy Hour Edition @ Newport Hooters

I know I'm a tad late with this post, but the past week has been very activity filled to say the least. This past Monday July 2nd and Thursday July 5th brought myself and some family members to Newport Hooters. On Monday after a fantastic round of golf at The Coldstream Country Club, saw myself, cousin, nephew and brother in law at Newport Hooters for Happy Hour. It was my nephew's "birthday" by the way!
Tim's "Birthday"!

Coldstream was Awesome!
Having a beer is great anytime but after a great day of golf is even better. Especially when your cousin works at a Country Club and allows us to play for free!
"Yes Jill, I'll have another!"
Now if only the beer were free! I know don't get greedy! Anyway I haven't been to Hooter's other than for lunch in quite awhile. So the happy hour prices were very welcome. I did have a buy 10 get 10 free wings coupon that I let Tim enjoy. So that  was a another bonus.
So if you want to cap off a great afternoon of free golf, I definitely recommend Newport Hooter's Happy Hour. You cant beat the company.
Or the views!

It's after work. It's been hot all day. Where do you go before a casual rocking jam session? Well I'll tell you. You head on over to the Newport Hooters on Military Dress up day!

The grilled chicken pasta salad was very tasty!
Like the riffs Cutter will soon be playing!
Thess fine ladies pass muster in my book!
Cutter and I venture across the mighty Ohio.    To get ourselves to the nearest table and overlook this establishment's board of fare.
Tasty!
To say the least the pitchers were going down pretty smooth!
