IBM PureSystem Event @ Horseshoe Casino

Main Entrance
Today is the first post of it's kind. An actual work related lunch endeavour. IBM invited Ray and he asked me to come along to an IBM event held at the new Horseshoe casino. It was discussing their new PureSystem series of products. It was very informational. The buffet lunch was very tasty indeed. Too bad IBM didn't give us some tokens to gamble with! I'm no gambler, but I thought the casino was impressive.

Izzy's To Go/Visit the Parentals Edition.

The Complex
A Cincinnati Classic!
You can't just eat One!
ON any given Friday I have lunch with my folks at their condo. Today is no exception. Instead of the usual fast food grab, (Arby's) today I wanted something different, something much better. A Cincinnati Icon. Izzy's world famous corned beef and signature potato pancake. But wait, that's not all! I had to have some of those outstanding pickles. The few they give you are not enough. I bought a whole frickin' jar of those bad boys! My little sister Kathleen usually joins me for the visit. I introduced her to this blog. She got a kick out of it. Mom and Dad really enjoy our little chats/visits.

Dad adjusts his hearing aide. Needs to hear
the always insightful conversation!

Kathy checks out the blog! A new fan and follower!

Cincinnati Bell Technology Pavilion @ Great American Ball Park (We also got back our Hooters Collectors Cups) Edition!

TODAY brings us to some place special. Somewhere near and dear to our hearts! Great American Ball Park. One of the few perks we get as Cincinnati Bell employees, is the occasional opportunity to get into The Cincinnati Bell Technology Pavilion to see our beloved Reds play.
Glenn, the "Ticket Guru" was able to snag some tickets to this afternoon's Reds Braves Titanic Struggle.
Readers of this blog are well aware Jeff and myself left our collector cups at the Newport Hooters yesterday. People were concerned about that. Namely us! Jeff's idea for today was to go back over there and see if we could get some more (free). Well I am happy to report we were able to just do that very thing. We then proceeded to kill a pitcher of Sam Adams.
The Pavilion is a great place to watch a game. Inside or out. The food was excellent ball park fare. Dogs, Brats  and some tasty sides. The also featured Montgomery Inn pulled pork barbecue! And of course beer and pop. The weather was also tremendous. Can't beat Sunny skies and 70 degrees on a fine May day.
Unfortunately the Reds had a bad game. They lost to the Braves 7-2. But as they say, it beats a day in the office!

Ashley (1 of 5) was able to get us some new cups!
Thanks again Ashley (1 of 5)

All Hail the "Ticket Guru" A true Pimp!

It wouldn't be a proper blog post without a pic of  Jeffy posing with some of the lovelies!

We forgot our Stadium Cups! /Gabrielle or Adrianna? @ Newport Hooters Edition

Cup Design this week.

ONCE again we are at Newport Hooters. A few weeks ago Hooters started a promotion of collectors stadium cups. Last week I started my collection. Jeff and I bought some for this weeks edition. (See above pic.) Our fine waitress Adrianna/ Gabrielle told me it was "genius" that I placed my collectors Stadium Cup over my frosted pint glass. I told her it was for insulation. (Hell it sounded good!) Anyway one beer led to another and pics were taken for the SAO calendar, and we for forgot the damn cups at our table! Oh by the way I had a free lunch with my "All Access " card. I had the boneless wings with fries. Jeff had the same. I forgot what Glenn had. The Sam Adams was exceptional as always.
Gabrielle lost her name tag. She borrowed Adrianna's. Whoever she is.

Jeff theorises we were distracted as to why we left our cups at the table?
Jeff needs to work on his "camera angle skills".
That's much better Jeffery!

I am a genius!

The Yard House @ The Banks

95 E Freedom Way Cincinnati, Ohio 45202
Today brings us back to The Banks. Namely Yard House. One word BEER! The Yard House boasts over 140 finely crafted beers from all over the world. The actually have 160 or so taps. They have some duplication we were told. We chose to eat outside on what can be considered an elevated patio, with a fine view of the Suspension Bridge and Covington. I choose a healthy item. The recommended Turkey burger. It was very good.

160 Taps!
I think they need to go for 200!

Turkey Burger, YUM!
Plenty Of Choices

Glenn's Choice is in the midde!

Magic Hat #9 !
A fine choice for Glenn!
