The Return to Guitar Center with a visit to Twin Peaks with the Brothers Scheve!

A Christmas time gathering of the Chargers was way overdue!! Eric and I killed some time at the Florence Guitar Center waiting for TJ to get to Florence Twin Peaks. It was great to see these gentlemen once again.
Obviously we need to get together more often. It was an enjoyable evening!

I can't believe the last post about going to Guitar Center was over 10 years ago!

Well It's About Time!!! Our Triumphant Return to Newport Hooters with Jenny! plus The Led Zeppelin Evening and Peter Frampton's Farewell at Riverbend.

I woke up  this morning with a blog post in mind..... Hell where have I been?! Practically 5 years since the last post. Totally uncalled for I know. A ton of stuff has happened in these five years. I personally have had 5 different jobs in that time. We all try to stay in touch, and get together from time to time to catch up with each other's happenings and whatnot. I have to admit it's been hard over the years to do that. I miss my old crew when lunches and happy hours were a regular occurrence. We had some good times at Newport Hooters, shared a lot of laughs.

To my everlasting surprise, (God bless her.) One of our all time favs JENNY is still a Hooter's Girl there!  I remember her as far back as 2007 serving us . A true Pro!

Here's a little collage I put together of Ms Jenny

Many times we met at Hooters as a starting point for other festivities. This was no exception. Tonight we were going to see Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening opening for Mr Peter Frampton's Farewell Tour. TRUE STORY HERE: Back in 1977 my father came home with a copy of Frampton Comes Alive! He says to me. "This guy is a genius!" "He can make the guitar talk.!" I've been a Frampton Fan ever since. I wore that LP out! Led Zeppelin, what can be said that hasn't been said already? Their music is timeless. I predicted a great show. We weren't disappointed.

The Tilted Kilt Florence

A Brand Spanking new eatery opened  in Florence. A Tilted Kilt. Looks like Hooters has some direct competition along Houston Road. By the looks of things the competition will be pretty stiff. (Not to mention the male consumers.)  Size alone of the place is impressive. Boasting 42 TVs as per their Facebook Page. Glenn and I choose some wraps with fries for lunch. Not bad at all.
Speaking of the Kilt's Facebook page I did see something. A few of the Florence Hooters girls have either defected or are pulling double duty! If you take a look at my last post, you will see what I mean. Looks like Shay and Skipper to me. No complaints here. It's free enterprise at it's best.

Has it been 3 years already?

Yep it's been 3 years since this I started this blog. It's been fun. It started out as a joke with my cuz Eric a couple of years before the first blog post. We were at Newport Hooters before a a Reds game and he joked casually to our Hooters Girl that he had a blog called "What's for Lunch". He just wanted his picture taken with her.
Oh the humanity!

So back in 2011 I told him I will start a "What's for Lunch" blog. It's still a running gag among us. But now I can honestly say I do have a  blog and whip out my Blackberry/Droid for proof! (No I don't say beforehand, "Excuse me as I whip this out!!!")

Alley Checkin' the Blog!

You see Rascals and the Jersey Mike's logos up top. Well this past week I started my new contractor gig at Crane in Blue Ash and Rascals and Jersey Mike's are very close by. I could (but won't) get used to eating at those 2 places. My girlish figure would suffer though. But they are great lunch stops. I definitely recommend them.

I will miss my friends at CBT. They made this blog a lot of fun! Below are just a few pics of us over the last few years. We were all like an extended family in the SAO. Pretty tight knit. It was was tough being laid off. But such as life. New challenges await. We will continue getting together on a regular basis and who knows, this blog might just morph into "What's for Happy Hour!!!!"
