Has it been 3 years already?

Yep it's been 3 years since this I started this blog. It's been fun. It started out as a joke with my cuz Eric a couple of years before the first blog post. We were at Newport Hooters before a a Reds game and he joked casually to our Hooters Girl that he had a blog called "What's for Lunch". He just wanted his picture taken with her.

Oh the humanity!

So back in 2011 I told him I will start a "What's for Lunch" blog. It's still a running gag among us. But now I can honestly say I do have a  blog and whip out my Blackberry/Droid for proof! (No I don't say beforehand, "Excuse me as I whip this out!!!")

Alley Checkin' the Blog!

You see Rascals and the Jersey Mike's logos up top. Well this past week I started my new contractor gig at Crane in Blue Ash and Rascals and Jersey Mike's are very close by. I could (but won't) get used to eating at those 2 places. My girlish figure would suffer though. But they are great lunch stops. I definitely recommend them.

I will miss my friends at CBT. They made this blog a lot of fun! Below are just a few pics of us over the last few years. We were all like an extended family in the SAO. Pretty tight knit. It was was tough being laid off. But such as life. New challenges await. We will continue getting together on a regular basis and who knows, this blog might just morph into "What's for Happy Hour!!!!"

My Last Day

 This was my last day at Cincinnati Bell.
It was decided to visit Newport Hooters for happy hour to vent/celebrate. I do look forward to my new opportunities and the challenges that lie ahead.

As my time winds down at CBT, the end of July always brings my man Jeff's birthday. So naturally we headed over to Newport Hooters for some fine eats and good brew. It's been a tough year for the Redlegs but we can count on Hooters for brightening our day.

Show-mes!

It's been a while since we last ventured up Colerain Ave.It was time once again to visit Show-mes. HQ for the chain  is in Missouri the Show Me state, so I am told. It was a very quiet Thursday afternoon there. Almost had the place tom ourselves. Allie our Barmaid/Server was good company though. She's a recent UC Nursing grad looking for a Hospital position. We wish her well.

Mynt Martini Bar @ Fountain Square

Last week I "discovered" The Mynt Martini Bar on Fountain Square. Actually Glenn recommended it a couple of weeks ago. The have this coupon/voucher deal were you pay 10 bucks and get a 20 buck voucher. Sounds like a plan to me. They also have a daily lunch special for 5 bucks. Last week I had the grilled chicken special and yesterday I had the turkey club special. Good stuff to be sure.
